Sponsorship

Hi Friends of Empower Taekwondo. This is a very exciting time for us here at Empower Taekwondo, as our students and parents recently returned from the AAU Taekwondo National Competition held in Salt Lake City, UT, from June 30 to July 6, 2025. This national tournament hosted more than 3,500 athletes competing in forms, board breaking, and Olympic sparring throughout the week. Team Empower brought home 28 medals – gold, silver, and
bronze – back to Craven County. Empower ranked 13th in the entire nation. We are incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication of our students.

On the heels of this achievement, we are actively planning for our second annual AAU Carolina Taekwondo Classic Championship, to be held in Havelock, NC, on September 20, 2025.

Our inaugural event, held in September 2022, was a great success, with more than 150 athletes, spectators, coaches, and support staff gathering to participate in this one-day event. Competitors from 31 cities across North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia traveled to New Bern/Havelock to spend the weekend – not only competing, but also enjoying all that New Bern and Havelock have to offer.

We have taken feedback from the last event and are looking forward to hosting a larger tournament this year, with even more opportunities for athletes to compete. We want to use our event to showcase what makes New Bern and Havelock so special. And this is where you come in.

Your business is a vital part of the culture and economy here in Eastern North Carolina, and we want to partner with you – not only to raise the funds necessary to produce a next-level event, but also to showcase your business to our athletes and their families.

On the form below, you will see details of our sponsorship. By selecting one, you are not only supporting our school and martial arts – you are also investing in your business and in a greater Craven County. We believe martial arts teaches and reinforces the principles of respect, integrity, courage, perseverance, and self-control – tenets we want to cultivate in future generations of our great state.

You can say yes to being a sponsor of this year’s event by completing the attached form, sending us a high-resolution logo, and submitting a payment to Empower Taekwondo either by a check or Venmo by August 30, 2025. Once we have received your information, Master Hama will reach out to your designated point of contact to coordinate our plan to get your business recognized.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our team at EmpowerTKDNB@gmail.com or call Master Hama at (252) 649-8668.

Thank you for your support,

Master Hama and the Empower Taekwondo family
